Paroma Varma, Co-Founder of Snorkel AI, the first data-centric artificial intelligence (AI) platform powered by state-of-the-art techniques in programmatic data labeling and weak supervision, began her academic journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. She went on to pursue a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering at Stanford University, where Snorkel AI, which started as a research project in the Stanford AI Lab in 2015, was born. Paroma also interned at software company Meta for six months before co-founding Snorkel AI.
